What if my lawyer asks me to pay the case expenses right before trial?
A: Before you do anything, read the retainer agreement carefully. If the retainer agreement states that your attorney may ask you to pay the expenses of the trial, then the attorney can ask you to pay the costs of medical experts and other costs of the trial.
If the retainer agreement does not state that you may be responsible to pay in advance the costs of the trial, the attorney can ask you to pay the bill.
